With the festive period around the corner, Americans will need to keep track of the dates state and federal authorities will pay some benefits.
One of such benefit is the the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) which is deposited on the same day each month in many states, irrespective of whether or not it falls on a weekend or a holiday.
You should note, however, that depending on the state you live in, payment of some benefits may be delayed payday falls on a federal holiday. There is no generally stipulated rule that applies to SNAP benefit payments during the holidays. But what you can do is to plan ahead and check with your particular state’s deposit rules.
To know the deposit rules of your state, visit the provider’s official website in the specific state in which you claim residence and choose your home state in the “EBT in My State” dropdown tab.
