Chicago police say a 42-year-old woman was murdered in a hit-and-run in West Garfield Park.
The lady was walking west at a crosswalk about 8:30 p.m. in the 900 block of South Pulaski Road, CPD said.
Police said the SUV proceeded down Pulaski. The lady was declared dead at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Chicago.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office says that Monica Eason lived in East Garfield Park.
“It’s painful because it impacts others,” said E. Jackson, a nephew.
James Doole stated, “Baby sister was a pillar.”
The family begs the driver to surrender. Major Accidents conducts an investigation. Officers searched for evidence, including a sneaker on the crossing.
It’s likely a 1995–2000 Jeep. Tuesday morning, CPD issued a suspect car photograph.
Nearby security footage shows Eason entering a liquor store. She exits with a bag and crosses the street a few minutes later.

She hesitates, turns around, and returns before reaching the end of the sidewalk.
The footage shows an SUV rushing toward her as the light turns red. The channel stopped the video before she was struck.
Eason was struck hard and flung far.
