Grocery workers have authorized a strike in order to demand improved compensation and working conditions.

Over the weekend, the union representing employees at Ralphs, Vons, and Albertsons voted to approve a strike against the companies. Negotiations for a new labor contract will resume on Wednesday between employees and management representatives.

State Senator Tom Umberg’s bill would grant some California public transportation monies to Anaheim Resort Transportation, which operates bus services to Disneyland and other commercial attractions in the region.

According to the OCTA, that money should be used for public transportation.
