Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash Leaves Two Dead In Jennings County
At 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Jennings County Sheriff deputies were called to the scene of a deadly two-vehicle accident on U.S. 50 close to County Road 20W.
According to a crash reconstruction team, Hauley Reynolds, 31, of Columbus, was driving a 2016 Toyota Camry when it crossed the center line and struck Billy L. Sexton III, 32, of North Vernon, who was driving an eastbound 2008 Nissan Altima.
Deputies said that both drivers perished in the crash. According to deputies, a passenger in Sexton’s car was taken from the scene and flown to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis to receive treatment for potentially fatal injuries.
According to deputies, U.S. 50 was closed for investigation for around 2.5 hours. The Indiana State Police, Rescue 20 EMS, North Vernon Fire Department, Jennings County Coroner’s office, and Lucas Towing were among the agencies assisting at the scene.
