Day’S After Leaving The Hospital, Today’S Al Roker Is Devastated; Viewers Offer Their Condolences

Just days after reporting his impending discharge from the hospital, Bob Roker received some devastating news.

The weatherman for the Today show posted a photo and an update about his family’s struggles on social media.

As his writing demonstrated: “Although it has been a long and painful ordeal, knowing that our dear sister Patricia is finally reunited with our mom, Isabel, has helped ease some of the pain.

Her husband Nigel, her twins Kaizen and Kailene, her sons Langston and Adam, and her handsome grandson Easton are all left behind by “Boo” (short for Buddha since she would fold her hands on her abdomen as a baby).”

There was a flurry of fans sending messages of support, including: “Your loss profoundly saddens us, @alroker.

“I’m sorry to hear this, Al. As you go through this difficult time, know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.”

Al has been hospitalized due to a blood clot that has spread to his lungs, making for a very trying moment for him and his loved ones.

Al announced his sister’s death on Instagram.

He posted a positive message on social media to his followers as he prepared to return to New York.

Upon his return from the hospital, all posted pictures of himself sporting some facial hair that didn’t dampen his usual sunny disposition and bright smile.

He was wearing his most comfortable clothes as he stood next to his wife, Deborah Roberts, and daughter Leila, who embraced him and couldn’t keep a smile off their faces.

Thankfully, Al’s wife will be there for him as he goes through this trying period.

Underneath his collection of images, he wrote: “Home! So appreciative of everyone who has helped me through this, from my loved ones to my doctors to the crew at @todayshow.”

Coworkers, friends, and fans were all happy to see Al again and sent him messages of support and welcome.
