A man travelling in Greater Grand Crossing was shot and died Thursday night, causing a vehicle collision.
Chicago police say the victim was shot in the chest by an unknown offender while driving in the 7500 block of South Eberhart just before 7 p.m. The victim’s northbound Eberhart automobile hit a halted northbound car at 75th Street.

He died at University of Chicago Hospital.
Police said a female passenger of the hit car was brought to the hospital in unknown condition.
Nobody is detained. Area 2 detectives investigate.
