1 Injured in Shooting Near Carolina Ale House in Durham
The shooting that took place on Wednesday night on Durham Chapel Hill Boulevard next to the Carolina Ale House is being investigated by the Durham Police Department. One individual was hurt as a result of the shooting.
In the 3900 block of Durham Chapel Hill Boulevard, at around 9:13 p.m., police responded to a call of a person who had been shot and was bleeding heavily.
Officers found a woman who was suffering from a gunshot wound when they arrived at the scene. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital by members of the emergency medical services (EMS), who determined that her injuries were not life-threatening.
The shooting does not appear to be an act of random violence based on the early investigations that have been conducted. The suspect is currently being held in police custody. The investigation is still going on at this time.
