Public Invitation to West Texas State Veterans Cemetery Groundbreaking
The City of Lubbock and the Texas General Land Office are getting ready for a special event. They’re having a groundbreaking ceremony for the West Texas State Veterans Cemetery. It’ll happen at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at 4614 East 50th Street.
This cemetery is a big deal because it will be a place where more than 21,000 Veterans and their families can be honored and remembered.
The city wants everyone to be a part of this important moment. They’re inviting the public to join in the celebration.
It’s worth noting that this cemetery in Lubbock will be the first one built in Texas in over 12 years, as shared by the Texas General Land Office before.
