Early on Wednesday morning, authorities said, a man was shot and killed at a smoke store in the Bronx.

Around 12:25 a.m., officers found the 23-year-old male inside a tobacco store at 251 East Tremont Ave. with a gunshot wound to his head, according to the NYPD. At the site, first responders declared the victim deceased.

Officers have located a person of interest, but no arrests have been made as of yet. The inquiry is still being conducted.
