The South Shore neighborhood saw a man shot and critically injured Sunday night.
Someone opened fire on the 30-year-old at 8 p.m. in the 7500 block of South Kingston Avenue, police said.
According to authorities, the man was wounded in the chest and rushed to South Shore Hospital by a friend before being moved to the University of Chicago Medical Center.
They said his condition was critical. So far, no one has been taken into custody by the Area Two detectives despite their efforts.
