Kevin Costner’s difficult divorce from ex-wife Christine Baumgartner has been finalized.
The Yellowstone actor’s marriage ended on Friday, February 16, after lawyers representing Baumgartner filed court documents in a Santa Barbara, California, court requesting that both parties be excused from attending a court-mandated co-parenting class.
Back in September of last year, the couple agreed to share custody of their three children and resolved most of their divorce issues.

A spokeswoman for the 69-year-old actor stated that the couple had already “come to an amicable and mutually agreed upon resolution of all issues pertaining to their divorce proceedings.”
Baumgartner stated in her filing that she and the Bodyguard actor separated on April 11th.
At the time, a spokeswoman for Costner stated of the filing, “It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action.”
“We ask that his, Christine’s, and their children’s privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time,” the spokesman said.
In an August two-day court proceeding in Santa Barbara, a judge fixed Costner’s monthly payments to his ex-wife at $63,209, the amount he and his lawyers had suggested.
Baumgartner and her lawyers reportedly wanted $175,057, up from the $129,755 the actor was tentatively ordered to pay during the proceedings.
Kevin took the stand throughout the hearings and expressed his concerns: “My biggest concern is that the court orders me to pay child support that is above the needs of my children and for the needs of Christine.”
The estranged couple has three children: sons Cayden, 16, and Hayes, 14, and daughter Grace, 13.
Sparks immediately flared between the two when they met briefly on a golf course while practicing for his 1996 romantic comedy Tin Cup.

After reconnecting at a restaurant in 1998, they married in 2004 on Costner’s 160-acre ranch, The Dunbar, in Aspen, Colorado.
Prior to meeting Baumgartner, Costner was married to Cindy Silva for 16 years, but the couple divorced in 1994. They have three grown children: Annie (39), Lily (37), and Joe (35).
The actor also has a 27-year-old son, Liam, with former girlfriend Bridget Rooney, whom he dated between his marriages to Silva and Baumgartner.
