LAS VEGAS, Nev. Tuesday morning, Clark County Commissioners were given an update on the airport renaming project.
County officials approved the project in February 2021. Crews have changed out signs at the Sunset Road airport viewing area. The Arrivals curb, entrance doors, baggage claim, and some parking garage areas have changed since then, according to the Clark County Aviation Director.
The project’s estimated cost is $7.7 million, with private donations covering the entire cost. Over $6.3 million has been raised for the project, with an additional $1.39 million needed. Due to construction costs, the project was forced to halt in July. But it was restarted in August after receiving additional funding.
Where are the Harry Reid airport signs in the Cone Zone?
It is unclear when they change the road signs to reflect the new name.
