It is possible that you are part of the $2.67 billion settlement. Those who have ever had Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) health insurance since 2008 may have recently been notified that they are eligible or part of a $2.67 billion settlement that could impact their rights.
Yes, it’s real. But, what does that actually mean?
There was an antitrust lawsuit against the BCBS Association by BCBS companies. All claims were denied by the association, according to KBWK.
What did the court decide?
In a statement to 7 Eyewitness News, BCBS Association stated that both sides reached a settlement, and the Association agreed to implement some changes. In addition, they promised to compensate members involved in the dispute.

Are you eligible?
Checks to be received from this settlement only apply to any BCBS customer covered between February 2008 and October 2020.
What can you do next?
There are several options available to you:
- If you don’t work, you won’t earn any money.
- Exclusion can be requested and you won’t get money.
- If you are not satisfied with the settlement, you can object too.
- Nonetheless, you may file a claim for compensation.

By November 5, all claims should be mailed or submitted online. There will be a hearing on October 20 though.
