This weekend is the 11th annual Chicago Elite Classic Basketball Tournament, featuring the country’s best high school basketball teams. Attendees can see it Friday through Sunday at the Credit Union 1 Arena. Coach Tyrone Slaughter of Whitney Young remarked, “We developed the Chicago Elite Classic to promote our young individuals.”
The first annual “She Got Great” Women’s Tournament is being held this year. “We’re pumped to be back and show people how different of a squad we are,” said Xamiya Walton of Butler Prep. There will also be free health checks available for attendees.
