Americans Who Received Monthly $1,657 Stimulus Checks Will Receive $821 in the First Week of February 2022
A rise in social security income was given to the beneficiaries in 2021.

Recently, inflation levels have skyrocketed in the United States. Social Security recipients will receive checks worth $821 in Supplemental Security Income (SSI) this week.
In December last year, SSI recipients received two checks.
The US Sun states that SSI maximums increased to $841 this year from $794 in 2021. Before July 2021, more than 7.8 million US residents received SSI.
From January, Retirees Will Receive Higher Wages
Retirees will be able to claim both Social Security and Supplemental Security Income.
Over 70 million retirees will receive the increase in this month’s COLA; the increase is the highest in the past four decades.
Individuals’ monthly wages are calculated by the Social Security Administration according to their application age and employment history.
Retirees of different ages who apply for benefits will receive the additional amounts; their birthday-based checks will arrive later this month.
The third Wednesday of every month will be the day when checks are sent to those born between the 11th and the 20th of the month.
People born prior to the 11th of the month will receive their benefits on the second Wednesday of the month.
On the fourth Wednesday, checks are mailed to individuals with birthdays after the 20th.
There Will Be Increases in Disability Benefits and Taxes
The hike in COLA 2022 also benefited disabled individuals.
There was an increase of $76, from $1,282 to $1,358, in the wages of disabled individuals.
SSDI offers monetary assistance regularly to disabled workers as well as several relief schemes.
Beneficiaries include workers who are unable to work due to physical incapacitation.
Compensation is provided to recoup a portion of the original salary.
Taxes are also increased due to the increase in monthly benefits.
Social security taxes are set to increase in 2022 to $147,000 from $142,800 in 2021.
Tax rates will be higher for those earning high incomes.
