A reported shooting Results in a Large Drug and Weapon Seizure at a Gastonia Apartment

According to Gastonia Police, a man is being held without bond after a reported shooting in the area led to a significant drug and weapon seizure at an apartment complex.

Police say that they went to an apartment on May Street after getting multiple reports of gunfire in the area.

When the police arrived, they found several empty shell casings in the stairwell that led to one apartment.

Officers were able to figure out that a 29-year-old man was inside the house and get a search warrant.

Police Identified Many

Upon entering the apartment, officers discovered more than $34,000 in cash, three handguns and two of which were loaded and one of which was reported stolen.

They also discovered 150 suspected fentanyl pills, 10 grammes of suspected fentanyl powder, 13 pills of suspected MDMA/fentanyl, 250 grammes of suspected marijuana, 3.5 grammes of suspected crack cocaine, and 268 rounds of ammunition.

Additionally, tactical body armour was discovered in the apartment, according to the police.

The man has been charged with more crimes than we can list, according to Gastonia Police.
