Eligible residents of Connecticut will be receiving $1000 in a Back to Work CT Program meant to encourage people who have been out of work for a long time to return to work.
The program was announced on May 17, 2021, by Governor Ned Lamont. Connecticut receives CARES Act funding from the federal government for the payments. The Connecticut Department of Revenue Services will administer the bonus-paying initiative, $10 million has been set aside to benefit up to 10,000 job seekers.
This bonus payment is given to people in many states across the country. Local governments in several states are deciding which residents are eligible for a fourth stimulus check, and how much they will receive. This one-time bonus will assist some employees in covering the necessities of life, such as child care, in order to return to the workforce.
Unemployed Connecticut residents who meet the program’s eligibility requirements must apply for Back to Work CT online in order to receive a $1,000 bonus payment, No paper submission is required at the moment.

The Department of Revenue Services may contact an applicant to verify their employment after the applicant has completed eight consecutive weeks of work experience.

According to The Republic Monitor, the eligibility requirement include the following:
Applicants must have filed an unemployment compensation weekly claim with the State of Connecticut for the week May 23-29, 2021;
Applicants must have filed an unemployment compensation weekly claim with the State of Connecticut for 11 additional weeks between December 27, 2020, and May 22, 2021;
Applicants obtain and maintain a full-time job for eight consecutive weeks between May 30 and December 31, 2021;
Applicant must not have filed an unemployment compensation weekly claim with the State of Connecticut for any portion of the required eight consecutive weeks of employment.
