PEARLAND, Texas – In a severe rollover incident involving two automobiles on Saturday night in Pearland, police reported five people were killed and numerous more were injured.
Police in Pearland said the incident occurred at 7:28 p.m. A vehicle carrying three individuals was said to have been speeding south when it collided with another vehicle. After that, the car turned over, authorities said, throwing four of the five occupants on the ground.

The three occupants of the second car, one of whom was a child, were pronounced dead at the site of the accident.
A report about the child’s age was silently omitted by authorities. According to authorities, a fourth individual was taken to a local hospital but subsequently died from their injuries.

The motorist who was thought to have caused the first crash was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. The conditions of two youngsters who were in the same car and were taken to the hospital are unclear. This crash is still being looked into as of this writing.
