Tow-truck Driver Sentenced to 50 Years for Road Rage Murder of Semi-Truck Driver

Oak Brook‘s road-rage murder tow truck driver received a 50-year sentence.
In May, Anthony Tillmon was convicted of first-degree murder for killing 43-year-old Northlake resident Eduardo Munoz on I-88 in 2017.

Prosecutors allege Tillmon and Munoz fought on westbound I-88 at York Road in Oak Brook at 4 p.m. on April 21, 2017. Tillmon drove a tow truck, and Munoz drove an 18-wheeler.
“Witnesses noticed Tillmon and Munoz fighting and driving aggressively adjacent to one another,” said DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin.

After three and a half miles, Tillmon allegedly took out a revolver and shot at the semi.
The victim stopped his vehicle. After 1.5 hours, he died at Elmhurst Hospital.

Surveillance footage, I-Pass data, and witnesses helped Illinois State Police connect Tillmon to the incident after he fled.

“Witnesses and nearby cops responded immediately. “We were able to receive a lot of information straight away,” ISP Captain Bob Meeder stated, according to earlier accounts.
Munoz was engaged, a churchgoer, and a family guy, according to his friends.

“He volunteered. Bikes. He helped the youngsters and the neighborhood. He did everything to aid others. Joy. You’ll hear about his grin from everyone. “He shone,” Pastor Larry Perez from U-Turn Covenant Church remarked after the event.

Munoz’s fiancée earlier told ABC7 Eyewitness News that he was minutes away from the conclusion of his shift when he was slain.
