Why does Caillou have a bald head? Does he have cancer?

Caillou is a kids’ TV show that aired from 1997 to 2010 and taught them valuable life lessons. Follow along as the toddler becomes a fan favourite by seeing the world through his eyes.

What’s truth behind Caillou’s bald head?

The show’s official website put an end to rumors that Caillou’s baldness was the result of cancer.

According to the show’s creators, viewers would no longer be able to identify Caillou if they gave him hair as he aged, since he was originally designed as a nine-month-old infant.

Caillou’s baldness became a symbol of his popularity, and his superiors hoped to utilize it to make a point.

The writers of Caillou wanted to show kids that it’s okay to be different from the crowd, even if it’s something as seemingly minor as a physical trait as Caillou’s baldness.

When did Caillou turn one?

Caillou, played by a four-year-old actor, was seen on the episode to be living with his parents and younger sister, Rosie.

A ritual developed by pediatrician and psychologist Dr. Françoise Dolto involved using a pebble, or “Caillou” in French.

Francoise held high regard for youngsters. Thus she frequently accepted stones from them as money for her services.

Officially, “Christine L’Heureux named the character to honor Françoise Dolto’s labor and service,” as stated on the website.

How tall was Caillou?

In 2019, a reader of the Huffington Post reportedly asked Google how tall Caillou is, and the search engine responded that he is an incredible 5 feet, 11 inches tall.

Google estimates that the baby is taller than the average man (who is about 5 feet 9 inches tall) because of this discrepancy.

The show’s theme tune is given new meaning when Caillou’s mother tells him, “you’re getting to be a big boy!” before the song even starts.

Caillou is realistically about the typical height for a four-year-old boy, so between between two and four feet.

Does anyone know if Caillou is a Canuck?

The television show Caillou was created in Canada and is based on the works of French-Canadian author Hélène Desputeaux.

Before making its way to Treehouse TV, the show aired on Canadian channels Télétoon and Teletoo.

Even though Caillou is no longer on TV, viewers can still watch it on Amazon Prime Video.
