‘We have the might to put you in your place’, Russia Warns United States

On Thursday, Russia warned the United States that Moscow had the might to put the world’s leading power in its place and accused the West of fomenting Russophobia.

Russian Vice President Dmitry Medvedev said the United States had stoked “disgusting” Russophobia in an attempt to bring Russia to its knees, Gulfnews report.

“It will not work – Russia has the might to put all of our brash enemies in their place,” Medvedev said.

In response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, the United States and its European and Asian allies imposed sanctions on Russian leaders, businesses, and businessmen, cutting off Russia from much of the global economy.

In an interview, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the United States employed Ukraine as a weapon to threaten Russia, while Russia had to defend itself against Ukraine’s “genocide” of Russian-speaking people.

Ukraine claims Putin’s genocide allegations are nonsense and that it is fighting for its existence.

Also, the West ascertained that claims that it wants to tear apart Russia are untrue.

According to Russia, despite sanctions, it can prosper without a decadent and deceitful West led by the United States.

Following the 1991 fall of the Soviet Union, the country says it will not pursue ties with the West anymore, and that it will focus on developing ties with other countries like China.
