Watch This Video to See How Chinese COVID-19 Sufferers Are Forced to Live in Metal Boxes

The terrible Zero-COVID policy of the Chinese Communist Party has turned into a nightmare for a large number of residents, who are forced to live in a small metal box for at least 21 days.

The government is forcing people to stay in these cramped boxes with a wooden bed and a toilet for up to two weeks if only one other person in their neighborhood tests positive. This includes pregnant women, kids, and the elderly, among others.

According to the report, residents in numerous regions were notified just after midnight that they needed to leave their homes and go to quarantine centers, according to the BBC.

On social media, a video depicting people being forced to sleep in these cramped boxes with a wooden bed has gone viral, with many people sharing it.

China has devised a “dynamic zero” approach to contain outbreaks, which includes stringent lockdowns and quick mass testing of all affected areas.

In China, unlike other countries, people who are considered high-risk contacts may be prevented from leaving their buildings or forced to stay in hotel rooms, according to the AFP news agency.

Because of the obligatory track-and-trace software, close contacts are typically identified and quarantined as soon as possible.

A lockdown was declared in Anyang, the third city in China to be placed under lockdown on Wednesday, forcing over 20 million people to remain at home in order to avoid the spread of the disease. Following Xian and Tianjin, the city was placed under lockdown on Tuesday.

Approximately 4,636 deaths have been documented as a result of the virus since it first surfaced in Wuhan, China, towards the tail end of 2019.
