Following the deadly attack at the Kabul Airport, 13 US Service Members and close to 200 Afghans were killed.
In response, President Biden pledged to eliminate ISIS-K assets while maintaining his stand of evacuating Americans and afghan assets by the deadline of August 31
Now the reports are coming in as the United States military has launched a drone strike at the planners from the ISIS-K.

U.S. Central Command’s Official Statement on Airstrike
Following the airstrike, Bill Urban, a spokesperson for U.S. Central Command said in a statement, “The military conducted “an over-the-horizon counterterrorism operation today against an ISIS-K planner” in the Nangahar Province of Afghanistan.
“Initial indications are that we killed the target. We know of no civilian casualties,”
The statement didn’t include whether the target was directly involved in the two bombs that take place near the Abbey Gate Entrance.
On August 21, an ISIS-K fighter walked up to the Abbey Gate entrance at the airport on Thursday evening where U.S. and coalition forces have evacuated over 110,000 people this month and still counting.
Afghans gathered around the Kabul airport are afraid to live under the Taliban’s rule.
According to New York Times, the suicide bomber detonated an unusually large suicide vest, according to New York Times, which weighed about 25 pounds, whereas a normal one can weigh between 10-20 pounds.
Later on Saturday Morning, The U.S. Embassy in Kabul issued a warning to Americans and urging them to leave the airport immediate:
“Because of security threats at the Kabul airport, we continue to advise U.S. citizens to avoid traveling to the airport and to avoid airport gates, U.S. citizens who are at the Abbey gate, East gate, North gate, or the New Ministry of Interior gate now should leave immediately.”
On August 26, 2021, two explosions killed 185+ people including 13 American soldiers, and leaving 150+ injured.
