Three people were taken into custody by Williamson County law enforcement after they were unknowingly drawn into an undercover operation. At 12:48 a.m. on January 4, deputies from the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office were conducting covert operations at a truck stop in the area when they noticed a suspicious car.
Coordinated Traffic Stops
A parking area on the northern side of the company was selected for the vehicle’s move. As deputies were surveying the parking lot, they noticed a second vehicle pull into the spot next to the first one.
The Sheriff’s Office reported that as the individuals exited the two vehicles, nearby deputies noticed what seemed like they were participating in a drug deal. As soon as they entered Interstate 57, the two vehicles parted ways. Both cars were pulled over simultaneously by marked patrol units that were helping with the operation.
The southbound vehicle on I-57 came to a complete halt. Tiffany J. Rivera was named as the driver, and Jui T. Barnes was named as the passenger. When the K-9 team from the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office got there, they sent out K-9 “Roxy” to sniff the car’s air for any traces of drugs, and he came up positive.

The Williamson County warrant for Nevith’s arrest was for possession of methamphetamine. A hypodermic syringe carrying methamphetamine was discovered during the search of Nevith.
During a warranted search of the car, a wallet was found. Deputies found Nevith’s Illinois ID, two credit cards bearing his name, and a red bag containing the methamphetamine that he had bought in the truck stop parking lot inside the wallet.
