U.S. Police Offers $30,000 Cash Reward For Info About Suspect Who Shot Officer

A cash reward worth $30,000 has been offered by Investigators in Georgia and NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal to anyone with any information regarding the suspect who shot and critically injured a police officer a week ago.

An officer from the Henry County Police Department, Paramhans Desai, 38, had responded to a domestic disturbance on Thursday.

As Desai attempted to make an arrest in McDonough, Georgia, Jordan Jackson, 22, allegedly shot Desai and fled.

According to reports, Jackson had left the scene in a 2016 Honda Civic.

The married father of two, who has worked for the Henry County Police Department for two years, is now in a critical but stable condition.

According to Henry County police, Desai served with the Georgia Department of Corrections and DeKalb County Police before joining them.

The money for the reward for information on Jackson’s whereabouts came from several sources and was announced on Sunday.

Sheriff’s office in Harris County and U.S. Marshalls Office each offered $10,000, while Crime Stoppers Atlanta offered $5,000, according to Henry County PD.

O’Neal, a Clayton County honorary deputy and resident of Henry County, also offered $5,000 totaling $30,000.
