TX Police Say a Man Meeting a 14-Year-Old Girl Shoots a Family Member Who Went Looking for Her

Authorities in Texas are looking into a shooting that left one man seriously hurt in a park.

East County Gazette filmed a news conference with the Houston Police Department on October 19, where they revealed that a 14-year-old girl had met an adult man in a park at around 7 o’clock that evening.

Authorities in Houston state that two members of the girl’s family went searching for her and got into an argument with the man she had gone to meet.

Police say the man pulled a gun, shot a member of the girl’s family, and then ran off. The adult male victim was in “serious condition,” but police said he was still expected to live.
