Two Teenagers, 13 and 16, were Shot Dead in a Car on South May Street
On Saturday night, a lone gunman on foot in the South Side shot and killed two adolescents driving in a car.
At about 5:50 p.m., a 16-year-old and a 13-year-old were sitting in a parked automobile on the 11300 block of South May Street when an unknown assailant approached them and began firing rounds, according to police reports.
One of the teenagers, 16, was shot in the right arm and the other in the left hand. Both teens were taken to Christ Hospital, and their conditions are considered fair. While police continue their investigation, no suspects have been detained.
