Police have arrested two men in connection to a deadly double shooting at Old Fort Hills Park in Fort Washington.
The Maryland-National Capital Park Police rushed to the park on Friday at 4 p.m. in response to reports of gunfire, according to the Prince George’s County Police Homicide Unit.
Officers discovered 30-year-old Desmond Thomas had been stabbed and shot when they arrived. In the park, Thomas passed away. At the park, another shooting victim was found, and they were both rushed to a nearby hospital for assistance. We anticipate his survival.
Thomas was allegedly attacked by Kenneth Elwood Smith, 54, and Lamont Scott, 18, after an argument. Before they allegedly killed Thomas, none of them knew him.

Scott is charged with first-degree murder and other connected offenses, while Smith is accused of second-degree murder and related offenses. The Department of Corrections is in charge of both.
