On Wednesday, a Buffalo Grove father stabbed his wife, four- and six-year-old kids, and a relative before killing himself in a million-dollar mansion.
Thursday’s Buffalo Grove Police Department announcement named and caused the five deaths.
Authorities said at a press conference that Andrei, 39, Vera, 36, Vivian, 6, Lilia, 67, and Amilia, 4, all died from “sharp force injuries.”
The Lake McHenry Scanner said that Andrei stabbed the four women before killing himself hours after their identities were released.

Court records show that two months before Vera died, she asked the court for an order of protection against her husband.
Two weeks later, Andrei was arrested for breaking the injunction but released on bail.
At 11.10 a.m. Wednesday, police were summoned to the suburban community 30 miles north of Chicago to check on a lady who had missed work.
When officers arrived, they were unable to contact anyone inside the house.
Buffalo Grove tweeted Wednesday that “forced entry was deemed necessary and a sweep of the property was undertaken.”

Buffalo Grove Police Department Chief Brian Budds updated the investigation Thursday morning.
“Today is a very sad day for our community as we continue to digest this inconceivable occurrence,” the police chief added.
