Hours apart on Monday morning, two men were robbed at gunpoint not far from the Irving Park area. According to Chicago police, the first victim, a 62-year-old man, was walking on the sidewalk on Cornelia near Pulaski at 1:30 a.m. when three guys got out of a red automobile and approached him.
At gunpoint, they allegedly threatened to rob the man before stealing his possessions and punching him in the face with the weapon. According to the authorities, the male declined medical treatment at the site.
Two robberies within a few hours
Police said the bandits made off with the man’s wallet and then fled the scene. According to the authorities, he declined medical attention at the site. Nobody was being held in custody.
