Three People Hurt in Possibly DUI Crash Into East County Home!

Monday morning in eastern San Diego County, a car struck a house, injuring the driver and two passengers, according to the authorities. The California Highway Patrol reports that the collision occurred at approximately 3:05 a.m. on Winter Gardens Boulevard, south of Sterling Hill Lane in Lakeside.

According to CHP Officer Jared Grieshaber, a 39-year-old man was driving a 2011 Buick Enclave carrying two passengers, a 37-year-old and a 41-year-old. “While driving southbound, the driver was unable to maintain control of the Buick and made an unsafe turning movement, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway,” stated Grieshaber.

According to Grieshaber, the SUV flipped over and collided with a house at 9060 Winter Gardens Boulevard. El Cajon residents, who were all passengers and the driver, were sent to Sharp Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. “This is an ongoing investigation, and alcohol was a factor in this crash,” stated Grieshaber.
