Three Killed in Lake County SUV-Dump Truck Collision
According to reports, a collision in Lake County that involved a sport utility vehicle and a dump truck resulted in the deaths of three individuals.
As reported by the Florida Highway Patrol, the collision took place at 1:59 p.m. on Tuesday at the intersection of County 33 and Bridges Road in Groveland neighborhood.

A man from Grand Island, Maine, who was 47 years old at the time, was driving a 2018 Ford Explorer east on Bridges Road when he suddenly moved into the path of the dump truck that was being driven by a man from Mount Vernon, Maine, who was 63 years old.
As a consequence of the collision, both vehicles went off the road and into the treeline to avoid more damage.

In addition to the driver of the Ford Explorer, his two passengers, a woman from Longwood who was 35 years old and a woman from Orlando who was 32 years old, were both pronounced dead at the site of the accident.
While the investigation was taking place, the driver of the dump truck did not sustain any significant injuries and remained at the scene.
