Thieves Target Slot Machine Players at Rivers Casino in Des Plaines

On Friday morning, three players at the Rivers Casino in Des Plaines were the victims of a robbery.

Des Plaines police said a criminal operating inside the casino at 3000 River Road cashed out credits at 4:30 a.m. after each gambler left a slot machine alone for a few seconds. According to the police report, the thief took $150 from one of the vending machines.

It was unknown how much came from the rest of them. The police said a man in a black winter coat was seen on security footage committing the theft.
