A 21-year-old man who had been detained in Texas was recently returned to Arkansas and charged with capital m*rder in connection with a death that occurred in West Little Rock in 2020.
Police claim that Clayton Eason was apprehended in Texas on unrelated charges before being sent to Little Rock to stand trial for the m*rder of 41-year-old Christopher Bersett.

On September 21, 2020, just before midnight, police were called to a shooting at 1912 Green Mountain Drive. When they arrived, they reportedly discovered Bersett in the driver’s seat of a damaged gold Cadillac DTS with a gunshot wound to his chest. A number of shots were also fired at the car.
Police reported that Bersett was declared dead at the scene. In connection with the death of Bersett, another suspect, Karlos Bass, was detained and charged with capital m*rder in November 2020. The age at the time was 19.

According to authorities, Eason is also facing charges of aggravated robbery.
