After a significant crash in Sugar Land, a child is dead, and four others have been transferred to nearby hospitals.
The collision took place about 4:16 p.m. close to the intersection of E. Riverpark Drive and the Grand Parkway, according to Doug Adolph, public information officer for the city of Sugar Land.
Adolph said that two automobiles and seven individuals were involved in the accident. Two patients were airlifted in critical condition to a hospital. Both of the passengers, according to Adolph, were children between the ages of 10 and 14.
One of them passed away later. Three more people were transported by ambulance to the hospital. Two more declined to receive medical care.

Officials stated that there are currently no indications that intoxication had a role in the collision, but one of the cars may likely have run a red.
