Earlier this week, T-Mobile reported a data breach affecting 47 million users including former & expected users. Now, after initial investigation, the tally has increased by 5.3 million customers to reach 53 million.
This update has come days after the U.S. Federal Communications Commission(FCC) opened an investigation into the latest data breach.
Additionally, the data uncovered by FCC includes 5.3 million active wireless subscribers and 600K+ former T-mobile users.

Compromised Data in the Latest T-Mobile Breach
T-mobile data breach includes the date of birth, address, & phone numbers of customers.
At the time of writing this post, neither T-Mobile nor FCC could confirm whether the latest data breach contained any financial details such as Credit Cards of its customers.
T-Mobile on Regulator Filing
In a regulatory filing since the cyberattack, this is what T-Mobile had to say on the incident:
“Our investigation is ongoing and will continue for some time, but at this point, we are confident that we have closed off the access.”
If the hackers have stolen your data in the latest security breach, T-Mobile recommends you install McAfee’s identity protection services & stay protected from online thefts or any further attacks. T-Mobile is also offering this protection to its customers for the next years.
