On Friday, a police officer was involved in a shooting that resulted in the death of one individual outside of Salem, Oregon.
The shooting occurred after officers received a call that a male suspect was firing a gun. The shooting took place at approximately 11 o’clock in the morning.
Officers from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, the Salem Police Department, and the Oregon State Police located the suspect, and according to a news release from the sheriff’s office, shots were fired by the officers.

Other law enforcement agencies were also involved in the investigation. At the scene of the crime, the suspect was discovered to be dead. Nobody in the police force was hurt.
Investigations are being conducted by the Keizer Police Department, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, and the Marion County District Attorney’s Office in collaboration with one another.
