A suspect in the October 1 shooting death of a man at 10210 Morocco Road at 11 a.m. has been charged. The 177th State District Court has charged 20-year-old Dewayne Malik Banks, the suspect, with murder.
Leslie Hall, 46, has been identified as the victim. Sergeant K. Persad of the HPD Homicide Division and Detective L. Gonzales reported:

Mr. Hall was found unconscious in the driver’s seat of his car when HPD patrol officers arrived at the aforesaid address in response to a gunfire call outside a residence. He had taken many gunshot wounds. Paramedics from the Houston Fire Department arrived at the site and declared Hall dead.

After more research revealed that the suspect was Banks, the HPD Northwest Patrol Division Crime Suppression Team officers apprehended him without incident on Thursday, November 2. Banks was charged for his involvement in the event after homicide detectives interviewed him.`
