This pandemic has affected every country’s economy sooner or later. But experts in the US advised the government in the best possible way to lower this effect of the pandemic. Since last year, their government has been distributing stimulus checks to families who are in need. However, the eligibility criteria are different for all the states in the US.
Stimulus checks were a wise decision by their government; they helped around 66% of the US population. They actually helped the people decrease their childcare burdens and helped them buy groceries and other much-needed products.
These stimulus checks helped people overcome the period of hardship they faced during the pandemic due to job loss. The Biden government made policies, especially for children’s welfare. However, they have formed other policies too. But they have issued $3000 to $3500 per year to families for one child. That actually helps them to lower the stress on parents to nurture the kids properly.
Stimulus checks were distributed, worth $1200 to low-income families. That helped the economy to record the lowest poverty rate at 9.1% in the USA. Stimulus check distribution helped approximately 8.5 million people to face the pandemic crisis with not-so-bad conditions.
As per experts, if the government hadn’t distributed these stimulus checks, the poverty rate would have been increased to more than 13%. The plan specifically designed for kids helped to lower the poverty rates as well in the country.
It has benefited approximately 4 million children and helped them decrease the poverty rate in children by 40%, as per experts. The policymakers and supporters are sure that these policies have helped their country’s economy as well as the people to sail through the wave of hardship during the pandemic.
The US government will continue to provide support to their people in one way or another as they know that it has been helping the economy improve slowly but steadily. However, there is no official announcement for a further stimulus check. But the steady improvement in the country’s economy is a positive sign for the next stimulus check.
