The Schedule of Social Security payments for 2022 has been released by the Social Security Administration.

Payments from Social Security are made according to a person’s birthday, with a few exceptions.

These are the general payment methods:

The calendar for the payment has been released by the Social Security Administration to make sure recipients keep track of when their checks will be deposited by the government.

As of January 1, Social Security payments, along with Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments, will increase by 6.2% in benefits over 2021, — the largest increase in more than four decades.

Beneficiaries of SSI are those with limited income and resources, as well as the disabled, blind, and the elderly (65 or older).

The birthday rule is subject to some exceptions.

Payments are received by SSI recipients (who do not receive a Social Security check at the same time) every month, on the 1st.
