Shots Fired into Humboldt Park Home: 7-Year-Old Boy Dies

After being shot on Wednesday night in Chicago‘s Humboldt Park neighborhood, a 7-year-old boy has passed away. At 8:22 p.m. on Wednesday, a shooting took place in the 2600 block of West Potomac Avenue, according to the police.

When police were called to a report of gunfire, they discovered a 7-year-old kid who had been wounded in the abdomen. According to the police, the boy was hit by a bullet that entered the house through a window while he was in the bathroom.

He was sent to a local hospital, where he passed away later. An initial investigation is ongoing, and no suspects are in police custody.
