A man was shot and killed in his automobile near Mariano’s supermarket in West Town, according to Chicago police.
The 37-year-old victim was reportedly parked in his car on the rooftop parking lot of the Mariano’s in the 2000 block of West Chicago Avenue at around 4:30 p.m. when an unidentified vehicle drove up.

According to the authorities, two males exited the vehicle, brandished firearms, and began firing. CPD stated that the subject was shot in the head and subsequently declared dead at Stroger Hospital.
At this time, no one is being held in custody. The investigators from Sector 3 are currently conducting a probe. We are cooperating with law authorities on this inquiry, but at this time, we do not have any other information to share,” said a statement from Mariano’s.
