A private dump has been the focus of the search for a missing 2-year-old who was last seen in Pasadena. On Monday, the search party returned to the large landfill near Alvin and Highway 6.
To locate the missing girl, Texas EquuSearch has revealed that they have begun searching a landfill. Nearly twenty persons and many gears were assembled at the search location.
According to officials, the search area, which is approximately the size of a football field, has been cordoned off for the past week. They also mentioned that they’d probably have to dig down to the low eights.
Lee has not been seen in over two weeks, and police in Houston are investigating the possible murder of her mother, Nancy Reed. Byron Lee, the father of the 2-year-old, is currently under arrest on a murder charge. The Houston police think the toddler may have also been a victim of the crime.
KHOU 11 spoke with EquuSearch, and they discussed the intricate nature and difficulties of the search. Tearing up every suitcase and everything,” EquuSearch founder and director Tim Miller said. I hope it isn’t here, but if it is, we’ve got a lot of work to stop it. Miller added that they had no idea how long they would be searching out there but that more equipment was on the way to help them look.
“I don’t think any of us expect that happy ending”-EquuSearch founder Tim Miller says
