San Antonio Experience Big Temperature Swings This Week

Our next strong cold front arrives on Wednesday

In South Central Texas, February weather can be a little unpredictable. We have seen everything from snow to severe weather, even triple-digit heat! In fact, San Antonio’s only February 100-degree day occurred on Monday, February 21st.

On February 21, 1996, San Antonio recorded its only 100-degree day in the month of February

Due to a midweek cold front, we will have more weather ups & downs this week. Here are the details:

  • There will be fog and drizzle throughout the day on President’s Day.
  • On Monday afternoon, the sun will come out and temperatures will rise into the 80s.
  • On Tuesday, temperatures are expected to rise into the upper 80s and low 90s.
  • It will be chilly Wednesday as a cold front arrives, dropping temperatures from the 60s in the morning to the 40s by the afternoon and evening.
  • With lingering clouds, temperatures are likely to stay in the 40s and 50s late in the week.
Temperatures will fall from the 80s early in the week to the 40s by midweek
  • While the end of the week will bring low rain chances, any precipitation will be extremely light & not help our ongoing drought.
