According to the Sheriff’s Department of Los Angeles County, a Tuesday robbery at a smoke shop prompted a high-speed chase, but the suspects escaped.
It started around 4:30 a.m. at Hacienda Heights’ E Cloud Smoke Shop. According to deputies, the business owner was not present when the suspects were spotted on a live surveillance camera.
Two of the suspected robbers wore grey hoodies and dark pants. A third individual was also observed. The suspects stuffed trash bags with merchandise before hopping in a car and driving away.
Sheriff’s deputies were pursuing the suspects on the 60 Freeway in the San Gabriel Valley at high speeds. Deputies added that the pursuit became dangerous and had to call it off.
The suspects are currently on the run. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact LASD.
