As calls for a fourth federal payment continue, stimulus checks are being distributed in ten states.
The following list outlines those states that have set up extra stimulus programs to help their residents affected by the pandemic.

In line with the American Rescue Plan, the states are either drawing on their own budgets or using the extra funds allocated for federal relief.
More than $200 billion has been allocated to states for economic recovery following the Covid pandemic.
All funds are to be spent by the end of 2021.
In March, the IRS began handing out the third stimulus check to households.

CALIFORNIA
As a Californian, If you earn less than $75,000, you are going to receive a $600 check in the coming weeks.
If you have a dependent, you will also get an additional $500!
According to the California Franchise Tax Board, the 600,000 stimulus checks that were issued last week will be deposited into beneficiaries’ accounts within the next few days.
The second round of payments is expected to have been sent out to about two million people in the middle of September, in both electronic transactions and paper checks.
A total of $354million is estimated for the program.
According to the California Franchise Tax Board, residents need to file a 2020 state tax return by October 15, 2020, to claim the cash.
The state budget surplus and federal funds from the Covid relief package are used to fund the California round of stimulus checks.
It is expected that at least 66 percent of Californians will receive a $600 check.
COLORADO
The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment will send a $375 check to anyone who received unemployment benefits between March 15, 2020, and October 24, 2020.
If you are a high earner, and you already qualify for more than $500 in base unemployment benefits per week, you are therefore not eligible for this unemployment benefit.

Florida
Ron DeSantis has approved a $1,000 bonus for K-12 public school teachers and school principals statewide.
This means more than 170,000 Floridians will receive checks.
CBS Miami reported that the money is financed from $216 million in federal stimulus funds.
GEORGIA
Governor Brian Kemp gave full-time teachers and administrators a one-time bonus check of $1,000.
A $500 check is given to part-time teachers.
MARYLAND
Earlier this year, Maryland authorized stimulus checks.
You can only receive extra cash if you claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) on your tax return.
The EITC is a credit for people with low and moderate incomes.
In Maryland, a married couple with two children must have an income below $53,000 in order to qualify.
Couples who file jointly will receive $500, while single residents will receive $300.
For some residents, however, it may be too late to file for a stimulus check because the deadline was July 15.
MICHIGAN
Earlier this year, Michigan also offered its teachers’ hazard pay of $500.
New Mexico
New Mexico set aside $5million in its stimulus program to send stimulus checks to people who were not eligible for the three federal reliefs assistance programs.
NEW YORK
A $15,600 stimulus payment was awarded to illegal workers in April by the state of New York.
Meanwhile, Republicans have heavily criticized this program.
A large number of people who don’t qualify for other government assistance will receive payments under the $2.2B program for “excluded workers.”
Residents of the state who make less than $26,208 in 2020 are qualified for the fund.

Tennessee
Tennessee’s state stimulus plan mirrors Michigan’s.
Tennessee plans to send a $1,000 hazard pay bonus to full-time teachers and $500 to part-time teachers.
Teachers are to receive their checks by the end of the year.
However, this relief payment will replace an expected two percent raise in salary.
TEXAS
According to CBS Dallas Fort-Worth, many Texas teachers received bonuses at the beginning of the school year.
Irving and Denton were among the other school districts that approved these additional checks.
It included a one-time payment of $2,000 for Irving teachers, while a $500 retention bonus will be given to Denton employees.
Teachers in other Texas school districts have received pay raises in recognition of their hard work during the pandemic.
