5 US States to Receive Bonus Stimulus Payments

California

In August, California sent out a second round of state stimulus payments. Now, on Tuesday, Oct. 5, another third-round payment was made ranging between $500 to $1,100 dollars.

The second round of stimulus payments in California is larger than the first, according to experts. Residents who have children or were not qualified for the initial state stimulus payment are receiving greater payments this time around. California, unlike last year, is utilizing its own resources rather than federal money.

Texas

Let’s begin with the fact that Texas does not have a COVID-19 economic relief program, as the state of Texas does not have one. Local school districts are giving employees retention bonuses, which are known as stimulus payments.

In Irving, teachers will receive up to $2,000 in stimulus money, while Denton educators will receive up to $500 with a 2% raise. Following in their footsteps, other school districts are planning to do the same.

Tennessee

Teachers who work full-time in Tennessee will receive $1,000 stimulus payments and part-time educators will be paid $500 for making it through what is known as “the worst of the pandemic.” These incentives will be distributed by the end of the year.
