Remains of  Missing Bay Area Woman Discovered in Amador County

The remains of a woman who vanished from the Bay Area months ago had been located in Amador County.

According to the City of Oakley in Contra Costa County, a person in the hamlet of Plymouth reported finding what they thought were human remains on Thursday afternoon and contacted the Amador County Sheriff’s Office.

Further Investigation Going on

Deputies arrived and located the body parts, but that further investigation would have to wait until Friday morning due to the onset of darkness.

Across the Sacramento County line, along Highway 16, the Amador County Sheriff alerted East County Gazette that the bodies had been discovered.

Remains Identified

Oakley and Antioch police officers joined in the inquiry as well. The mayor of Oakley announced after some time that the remains have been identified as those of 24-year-old Alexis Gabe. The remainder of Gabe’s remains are spread across the city.

The city of Oakley said that Alexis’s bones are in such bad shape that it’s possible that her body may never be found.

According to the station KTVU, Jessica was allegedly slain in January by her then-boyfriend Marshall Jones. Jones was slain in a shootout with Seattle police in June as they attempted to apprehend him.
