Rapper Kodak Black Shot, Three Others at Justin Bieber’s After Party

Four law enforcement sources familiar with the investigation told NBC News that Kodak Black, whose legal name is Bill Kapri, and three people were shot outside a restaurant in West Hollywood, California, early Saturday.

Two of the victims were transported to a hospital by ambulance, and two others were self-transported, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. All are in stable condition.

According to police, it is not immediately known what started the fight outside the club on North La Cienega Boulevard, Nbc news reported.

LAPD said, however, that the victims had been shot when they emerged from the club during the fight.

In a press release Saturday, the LAPD later said they were looking for a black male suspect who fled south after the incident.

How Kodak Black Got Shot

The scuffle took place outside the Italian restaurant Nice Guy, according to KNBC anchor/reporter Robert Kovacik.

Justin Bieber held an after-party inside the Nice Guy restaurant on the night of the shooting, according to owner John Terzian.

As seen in a video obtained by TMZ, Kodak Black was escorted out of a restaurant by rapper Gunna, a friend of Kodak’s.

The two posed for pictures with fans in the video.

Despite the presence of as many as a dozen paparazzi, a fistfight between men standing around a red Ferrari spills back onto the sidewalk before 10 shots are fired, sending everyone running for their lives.

Kapri, originally Dieuson Octave, was 21 when he amassed a long rap sheet, according to the AP.

The former president Donald J. Trump pardoned Kapri in 2021 after he was sentenced to prison in 2019 for weapons possession.

NBC News contacted Kapri’s representatives but they did not immediately respond.
