A dog owner in Washington, D.C. was ecstatic to be reunited with his pet, after it had been stolen in an armed robbery the week before.
On Monday, October 17th, DCPD reported that Genesis had been found and returned to her owner safely, but her kidnappers were still at large.

At approximately 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12 in the 4500 block of Polk Street, the suspect in question allegedly pulled out a weapon and demanded a 5-month-old pitbull mix from her owner.
The police say that as the suspect left the scene with the puppy, he pulled out a gun and pointed it at the dog’s owner, which stopped the chase.
At least nobody was hurt, that we know of. There has been no progress in finding or identifying the culprit.

The Metropolitan Police Department of Washington, is now offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to the identification, capture, and conviction of those guilty of a violent crime in the District of Columbia.
